On the flight over I sat next to a guy who had traveled to Chicago quite a bit. He wondered why I was leaving California and going all the way to Chicago, especially during the winter time. We had a pleasant conversation and all that and sometime during the conversation he warned me that it is coldest outside when the sun is shining and the sky is clear. I don't know the scientific reason for this is (I think it has something to do with the clouds trapping the heat), but his warning was definitely correct. This picture was taken on one of those days. I'm looking away from the campus.

It's Cold Outside!
Many people were concerned that I was going to be cold in Chicago, rightfully so. Now that I am here, every time I tell someone that I'm from southern California they ask me what I think of the weather and whether or not I am cold. Let's just say that it is cold....like really cold. I don't think I have ever been in this cold of weather in my entire life. I'm not sure what the exact temperature was, but it was definitely in the negative somethings. I think one day it was -17, not including the wind chill.

Back to Blogging
I'm back to blogging. I'm not sure what all the content of my blogging will be, but I figure that it will be a good way to show some pictures, share about things that I'm learning in school and in my relationship with Christ, and keep others posted on the next chapter of my life as a college student living on a college campus. (Yeah for reading!)
I wanted to open the door for you to ask questions, give suggestions or possible ideas on what I should blog about. So, if you do have any questions, suggestions, or ideas feel free to email me at jeremyallen17@sbcglobal.net. Enjoy!
